Nyisha Walton has been in the mortgage industry since 2002, and she started at the front desk answering phones. Early on a manager told her she would never make a good loan officer. In 2022 she closed two hundred and twenty seven loans and was named Fastest Growing Loan Officer of the Year. She keeps those two facts in the same paragraph on purpose, because somebody reading this needs to hear it.
What keeps her in this work is not the closing table. It is what happens after it. She has watched clients sign the last page and then become the person they had been waiting to become. They marry. They start families. They open businesses. They buy the second property, and then the third. Homeownership changes what a person believes is available to them, and Nyisha has had a front row seat to that for more than twenty years.
She leads the branch and is licensed in Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana and Tennessee, working with first time buyers, move up buyers and investors alike. She is grateful for her team and for Reliant Mortgage, and she starts each morning asking God to use her and to send the right people her way.
Away from the desk she is a mom and close to her family, and she serves on the board of Roses in Concrete, a nonprofit that mentors at risk youth. She travels every chance she gets, with Jamaica at the top of the list, and comes home to three dogs: a Cane Corso, a mini schnauzer, and Halo, a husky they rescued. She is also a working stand up comedian, which explains a good deal about how her client calls tend to go.
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
Proverbs 31:16, NIVLong before she was walking other people through it, she was the buyer on camera. Same nerves, same paperwork, same questions everybody has.

About a minute. No credit is pulled to do this.
Not a queue and not a call centre. Most people hear back the same business day.
What you qualify for, what it would cost, and what to fix first if anything.
